Hagerman Fire Department was founded in 1930 and resided on Donegan Avenue in East Patchogue. A new building was purchased in 1953 at 1309 Montauk Highway. Later, a new firehouse was built at 510 Ralph T Perry Drive in 2002. Hagerman Fire Department Has 100 volunteer members and covers approximately 8 square miles of residential & commercial property, including Brookhaven Memorial Hospital and several adult living facilities. The hagerman fire house sits on 40 acers of property which inlcudes a training facility.
